Battery Enclosures
Magna offers battery enclosure assemblies in steel, aluminum and composites including multi-material solutions. The battery enclosure is an important safety component of the body in white and is used to protect the batteries from any damage and water. Different joining technologies are used to assemble the enclosure and a leakage test is mandatory at the end of the production. Magna also offers battery enclosure out of aluminum made with high pressure die casting. The process is optimized to achieve all required tolerances. All holes and the sealing surfaces are produced without any additional machining and the parts are delivered as complete castings.
